Tirana Airport, the country’s sole airport in the capital city, reopened for essential and emergency flights on Thursday (8 April) after a strike by air traffic controllers. Commercial flights are expected to resume on Friday (9 April). The airport's website said 19 flights scheduled for Friday had been cancelled.
