Turkey: Protest in Izmir on 8 July

Izmir Labor and Democratic Forces have announced a mass protest rally on 8 July at 17:00 (local time) in Gündoğdu Square in Izmir to denounce fascist attacks, including the attack on the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) by the armed forces.

Traffic disruption is possible in the area of Gundogdu Square. To minimize safety risks, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly and become violent.
