Togo: Nationwide Demonstration from 12 to 18 July

The Dynamic Monsignor Kpodzro (DMK) and Femmes Pyramide groups have called for a nationwide demonstration from 12 to 18 July against the rising costs of living, the recent levying of a tax on motor vehicles, the increase in fuel prices and other public-grievances.

Significant travel disruptions are likely. To minimize safety risks, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly and become violent.
