North Macedonia: Protest in Central Skopje on 20 July

Social activist groups led by the Citizens' Association Coalition “We change” are scheduled to hold a protest in central *Skopje * on 20 July in support of persons with special needs and disabilities. The protest march will commence from the Government HQ of RSM at 18:00 (local time) before proceeding towards the Parliament of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.

The Road Traffic Safety Unit at the SIA Skopje will reportedly implement road closures and diversions on 11th of October Street, Boulevard Ilinden, Boulevard VMRO, and Dimitrie Chupovski Street from 14:30 until the end of the protest.

Traffic disruptions are likely in the vicinity of the protest march. To minimize safety risks, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly and become violent.
