Internet and Social Media Down in the Republic of the Congo

Reports indicate that the internet and social media have been down since midnight 21 March as elections take place. President N'Guesso is running for a new five-year term in office. He has been in power for 36 years.

Protests and civil unrest are possible. Avoid all areas of any large public gatherings or demonstrations due to the risk of violence.
