Haiti: Teachers Calls Nationwide Strike on 19-23 April

Several Haitian teachers’ organizations have called for a nationwide strike from 19 to 23 April denouncing the acts of criminality across the nation including recent kidnappings.

Traffic disruption is possible in the areas of protests. To minimize safety risks, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly become violent.
