Guatemala: Demonstration in Guatemala City on 5 June

Various social and student organizations and anti-corruption activists have staged a protest on 5 June against corruption and political impunity. Protesters will gather at Plaza de la Constitución located in zone 1 at 13:00 (local time).

Significant travel disruptions are likely. To minimize safety risks, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly and become violent.
