Czech Republic: Five Killed following Tornado in South Moravia

Five people have been killed and more than 150 others have been injured, after a tornado struck several villages in South Moravia, in the southeast of the Czech Republic on Thursday night (local time) on 24 June. The incident resulted in heavy infrastructural damage, including a breakdown of power lines, and the closure of a major motorway connecting Prague with Bratislava. Rescue and recovery operations are ongoing as of 26 June.
