Cote d'Ivoire: Nationwide Strike from 21-23 July by Tax Agents

Unionized public sector tax agents represented by the Federation of Trade Unions of the General Directorate of Taxes (FESY-DGI) have called for a nationwide strike from 21-23 July to demand improved salaries, among other claims and grievances. The union has made no specific call for demonstrations. However, disruption and delay in services of government and administrative offices are likely.

To minimize safety risks, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly and become violent.
