Angola: Students Protest Rally Scheduled in Luanda on 17 April

The Angolan Students Movement (MEA) will hold a rally on 17 April from Largo das Heroínas to the Ministry of Finance, Luanda to protest against an increase in school tuition fees. The protest rally is scheduled to take place between 11:00 to 13:00 (local time).

Travel disruptions are likely in the vicinity of the protest rally. To minimize safety risks, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly become violent.
