Adulterated Alcohol Deaths in Nepal

In the province of Baglung, two people are hospitalized in serious condition and 4 have died after consuming toxic alcohol purchased from an illegal vendor. Deaths due to the consumption of non-commercial alcohol that is contaminated with methanol occur frequently in many countries, especially in rural areas.

Travellers should only purchase or accept alcoholic beverages that are produced commercially by reputable companies.
