Georgia: Demonstration in Tbilisi on 17 July

A demonstration will be held on 17 July in Tbilisi to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili because of his perceived failure to protect members of the press. Protesters will gather in front of the parliament at 18:00 (local time).

Significant traffic disruptions are likely. To minimize safety risks, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly and become violent.
